Frequently Asked Questions
How much does a corporate video cost?
The cost for a corporate video production can range anywhere between $5,000 – $100,000. Like building a house, there are a lot of factors that influence the cost of video production.
Video production costs depend on many factors, including the length and number of videos produced, how many filming days are needed, whether interviews are captured, the amount of planning and pre-production required, whether drone, ground-based video and photography are all required, how many film crew is the best fit, and the level of post-production, editing, motion graphics or animation involved.
As a rough guide, a day of filming and production of a typical corporate video and professional library of still photography will often land somewhere in the vicinity of $7 – 20k +GST.
We also produce larger campaigns involving multiple deliverables (e.g. multiple videos with cutdowns, larger photography libraries), with more moving parts and multiple days of filming to plan – budgets for those productions often land anywhere between $20 – $100k +GST.
How long does a corporate video project take?
For many corporate video projects, it usually takes around 1 – 2 months from your initial enquiry to delivering the completed videos.
This allows a realistic timeframe for all the logistics, plans and stakeholder involvement to be factored in, that often occurs on corporate and business projects.
Planning and pre-production often takes between 2 – 4 weeks. Sometimes finding a filming date that suits all your stakeholders will take a week or so! The filming process can take between half a day for smaller projects, or up to 3 – 4 days for larger projects.
The turnaround time for editing is usually between 3 – 5 weeks, depending upon how many videos we’re producing, the complexity of the edits and motion graphics, and how many stakeholders need to provide feedback and approvals on the videos.
We also provide a priority service, where we film, edit and produce the entire video within the same day, for ultra quick turnarounds. This is particularly helpful for corporate events or project announcements.
What’s included in your video production service?
We provide a full end-to-end video production service, and can tailor the level of service to your specific needs.
Our pre-production and planning often includes video concept development, shoot planning, scripting and
When it comes to filming, we provide professional video crews and photographers, who can conduct relaxed authentic interviews, capture engaging footage, taking the lead and guiding the whole process to make the filming day run smoothly.
For editing and post-production, we provide a detailed editing service, following the approved plans for your project, with your chance to provide feedback on draft revisions along the way.
Motion graphics development and animation are also available, along with sub-titles and captions, audio mixing and colour grading.
We provide the completed videos and photos via a secure gallery link, making it easy for you and your team to download and share.
What types of businesses do you work with?
While we work with businesses and organisations across many industries, our team has particularly strong experience in construction, infrastructure, rail, mining, manufacturing, technology, universities, local government and professional services.
That said, great storytelling isn’t limited to one industry. Whether you’re building Australia’s biggest infrastructure project or launching a new software platform, our approach is always the same – we take the time to understand your organisation, your audience and what you’re trying to achieve, then create content that connects with people.
We also work with creative agencies to help support them with content production for their clients.
Can you help us develop ideas if we don’t have a brief?
Absolutely. In fact, many of our clients come to us with nothing more than an idea or a challenge they’re trying to solve.
We’ll ask the right questions to understand your organisation, your audience and what you’re hoping to achieve, then help shape the creative direction, scope and production approach.
We’ve also developed a simple briefing questionnaire that we’re happy to provide at any time. It’s designed to get you thinking, spark ideas and make it easier to identify the best approach for your project.
Do you travel outside Brisbane?
We film all across Brisbane and often travel throughout Queensland for filming too. We shoot and travel to all regions including Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Toowoomba, regional Queensland, and Australia-wide via Pure Gold Films.
How many people will be on the filming crew?
Most of our corporate video shoots have one, two or three people in the filming crew.
Factors that influence the crew size include whether you also require still photography or drone operations, whether we’ll be conducting interviews, how many lighting setups are required, how complex the shoot is, and how much is scheduled into the filming time.
How involved do we need to be?
Whether you want to be involved a little or a lot, we make the process easy.
Some clients love to be very involved in the creative process, while other client prefer us to manage everything.
We’ll chat with you about what level of involvement you’d like to have, and tailor our approach for each project to suit you and your business.
Can you film while our business continues operating?
We certainly can. We understand that corporate video production is not Hollywood – the world doesn’t stop for us to get every single shot, there’s often not time for six takes, and you’ve got busy operations to run!
This is especially important for manufacturing, construction and industrial environments, offices, and universities.
We’re used to working in and around operational environments and can still capture fantastic footage with minimal disruptions to your business or project.
We discuss our approach with you during the planning process and what options are available, as the level of control we have in the filming location can influence the style and look of the captured footage and final video.
What if nobody on our team likes being on camera?
No worries – we love to make the filming process fun and relaxed. Our approach is to connect with your team before recording stands, to get a real understanding of their role and who they are. Our approachable manner and relaxed directing style leads to authentic appearances on cameras, natural relaxed smiles from your team, and genuine meaningful answers in your interviews.
Do you offer corporate photography as well as video production?
Absolutely. Our team are skilled in professional photography for corporate and commercial branding, staff portraits, events, industrial and site photography and product photography.
Can one filming day create multiple videos?
Yes, one day of filming can easily create multiple videos. With the right strategic approach and planning, we often capture content for multiple purposes.
There might be one hero video being created, but at the same time we also capture content that can be used for social media cutdowns, team spotlights for recruitment and staff culture video, and specific technical and product focussed content.
Can we create social media content at the same time?
Yes, much of the content we create is ready to go for social media – team member spotlights, project updates
We can also provide a 4K content pack, which include a whole library of 4k MP4 video clips, colour graded and ready to go for use in reels and social media videos.
Who owns the finished video?
You own all the finished videos and edited photos.
If you’d like to have full ownership of all the raw footage and unedited images, along with the copyright and licensing rights, we can also provide this for an additional fee.
How many rounds of revisions are included?
We provide multiple rounds of revisions during the editing process, so you have the opportunity to provide feedback before the video is finalised.
We typically provide two, three of four rounds of changes and revisions, depending upon the scope and complexity of the project.
Can you write scripts or interview questions?
We often develop scripts for videos, and write questions for corporate interviews. Through our briefing and planning process we take the time to understand your business and what you’re looking to achieve. This helps us write impactful scripts that connect with your audience, and interview questions that get the right answers you’re looking for.
What makes a great corporate video?
Fantastic AEO question.
You can subtly explain your philosophy.
Can you work with our marketing agency?
Yes, we’re happy to collaborate with your marketing agency and other creative teams to achieve the results you’re looking for. Our team is friendly, down to earth, and we don’t bite 😊
Do you use drones?
Our team includes CASA certified and insured drone pilots, who are experienced in capturing cinematic footage and photos from the air. We have the experience and safety policies in place to capture dynamic footage in complex environments – whether that’s around your office or site in Brisbane, on a farm in regional Queensland, or a mine site in the Bowen Basin.
